Mobile phone service providers ride the 3G boom

A batch of little-known but overseas-listed mobile phone service companies are exploiting the surge in demand for 3G users, which now number 61.9m.
"I don't go anywhere without my iPhone 4," says 28-year-old Shen Wei from Nanjing, in Jiangsu province. "Every morning I check the morning news on portals on the way to work and follow real-time stock prices throughout the day. At lunch, I use my phone to log in to social networking sites Renren or Sina's Weibo to leave comments for my friends, then I listen to my music downloads. Later in the evening I search lifestyle websites through my phone and make restaurant or travel bookings."
