Social Media – monetising an online revolution

Social media has caught on rapidly among China’s urban middle class, but profits remain elusive – so far – for leading companies.
Over 86% of the urban middle class use social media, with this figure rising to 96% for under 30-year-olds, according to a China Confidential survey of 2,000 respondents in 236 cities across 30 provinces conducted in June.
