Samsung – China’s new number one in handsets

Samsung’s popular handsets, especially the Galaxy S2, have helped it capitalise on the problems of Nokia to become the best-selling handset maker in China.
While the global success of its Galaxy S2 smart phone helped make Samsung (005930:SEO) the world’s number one shipper of smartphones in 3Q11, the Korean firm’s mid-priced models have captured market share from market leader Nokia in China.
