361 Degrees – tapping hinterland dynamism
- Published 01 Dec 2011
The sportswear brand has sheltered itself from a downturn in the wider market by focusing on lesser-tapped western and northern regions.
A strong focus on price-sensitive consumers in China's inland and lower-tier regions is helping 361 Degrees weather the storm faced by the wider sportswear market. Revenues in fiscal 2011 ending June this year picked up 26%, aided by strong growth in footwear as well as effective store expansion and a hike in average selling prices. We expect revenue growth of around 20% YoY to continue into fiscal 1H12 ending December 2011.
