Demand for laser eye surgery and cataract treatment is driving growth at the private eye treatment specialist.

Background:Aier Eye Hospital Group (300015:ChiNext), a Hunan-based private hospital chain, is focused on eye disease diagnosis and treatment. The company now has 22 chain hospitals, throughout 12 provinces, mostly located in second and third tier cities. In 2008, the group treated 631,000 patients and conducted 66,400 eye operations.
