Commentators discuss signs of Nokia's China demise.
Nokia (NOK:NYSE) saw its China handset shipments fall to 11.3m units in 2Q11, less than half the previous quarter’s number and down 41% from a year prior. China contributed 16.7% to global sales over the quarter, down from 20% a year prior as sales revenues shrank 52% QoQ and 34% YoY to €913m (Rmb 8.5bn, $1.3bn, £806m). Overall, global sales declined 20% YoY on a 42% slump in North America and a 30% drop in European sales.
