Investors reassess Taiwan, Russia

Investor flows to Taiwan funds accelerated last week, while funds took a closer look at Russian equities.
Taiwan funds remained in the limelight, recording inflows for the fifth consecutive week after a long run of outflows since the beginning of June. Actual flows shot up last week to $68.89m (Rmb 470.5m, €46.6m, £42.2m), from $38m in the prior four weeks combined (Chart 2.4). Investor flows to Taiwan funds as a percentage of total assets under management (AUM) reached 6.6% during the period, far higher than proportionate allocations to their China counterparts (Chart 2.3).
