China stays out of favour
- Published 04 Mar 2010
Investors withdrew from China funds for the seventh consecutive week.
China's "exit strategy" following last year's lending splurge and the implications for growth remain firmly in the minds of investors. China funds posted outflows for the seventh consecutive week last week ending February 24 when investors withdrew another $21m (chart 2.2 and 2.3). Moreover, despite moderating slightly, outflows from China equities continued, with investors turning instead to Brazil and Russia (chart 1.1 and 1.2).
