Managers spread net beyond China

Emerging market fund managers are getting serious about diversifying their portfolios to reflect investment stories other than China.
Global emerging market (GEM) funds lifted their average allocation for India to their highest level since the first quarter of 2000 last month, said Cameron Brandt, senior analyst at EPFR Global. Monthly allocations had hit 7.95% by the end of April (chart 3.1).
