Apple's iPad - Coming of age in China

Apple's tablet iPad has been flying off the shelves since its official launch in China, and its e-book reader application iBooks is proving to be most popular.

Overview:Apple Inc (AAPL:Nasdaq) officially launched its infamous iPad in China on Sept 17, 167 days after it was released in the US, down from the lag time of 854 days experienced by iPhone 3. Prior to the official launch, the tablet was available in China through the grey market and was a popular purchase for Chinese travelling to Europe and the US.
