Tencent – a good mix

Almost 70% of our surveyed respondents said they played Tencent's QQ casual games.
Background:Shenzhen-based Tencent Holdings (0700:HKG) is an integrated online services company most renowned for its QQ instant messaging tool, which claims over 568m active user accounts. It also has a web portal QQ.com, a multimedia social networking service - Qzone, a mobile phone portal, as well as its QQ Game portal, which made up 43.3% of annual revenues in 2009. The company runs a series of massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs), as well as advanced casual games such as Dungeon and Fighter (DNF), Cross Fire, QQ Dance and QQ Speed. Tencent's virtual currency 'Q-bi' is the most popular in China and even has an official exchange rate with the renminbi.
