Bonjour mainland visitors
- Published 04 Mar 2010
A resurgence in mainland visitors to Hong Kong is expected to bolster the retail chain's cosmetics sales.
BackgroundHong Kong cosmetics company, Bonjour Holdings (0653:HKG), derives a significant portion of its revenues from mainland Chinese visitors to the territory. It runs 29 cosmetics sales stores and 19 beauty clinics in Hong Kong and Macau. Its presence in Shanghai, however, is limited to one nail bar. In addition to its own-brand products, the company has exclusive distribution rights for some lesser known foreign cosmetics brands and runs a wholesale cosmetics unit. Bonjour also operates its own e-commerce website targeting Hong Kong, mainland China and overseas.
