Hong Kong still Sa Sa's mainstay
- Published 04 Mar 2010
Despite expansion into mainland China, the bulk of Sa Sa's business looks set to stay in Hong Kong for now.
BackgroundSa Sa International Holdings (HK:0178) is a cosmetics retail chain with 168 stores across Hong Kong, Macau, mainland China, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan. Stores in Hong Kong and Macau make up almost 80% of annual turnover, through sales to Hong Kong residents and mainland visitors. In addition to its own-brand products, the company sells over 400 brands and 15,000 beauty products. It also operates cosmetics counters for brands such as Elizabeth Arden and Suisse Programme in department stores across the region.
