Giant Manufacturing - Mainland drives bike sales

Around 60% of Giant's 300,000 electric bike shipments went to mainland China in 2009.
Background:Giant Manufacturing (9921:TPE) is a bike manufacturer and distributor. In addition to its own brand products, original design manufactured products make up 30% of total sales. Asia accounts for 45% of Giant's sales, of which 9% comes from Taiwan, while North America makes up 28% and Europe 27%. The company manufactures most of its lower-end bikes at its plant in Kunshan in Suzhou, China, while its Taiwan operations are focused on higher-end models that are exported to western markets.
