Chimei Innolux - flat panel maker under pressure from rising wages

The newly merged Chimei Innolux has raised salaries at its Shenzhen manufacturing plant by 33% this year with a view to raise them again in October.
Background:Chimei Innolux Co (CMI) (3481:TPE), is the entity following the merger of Innolux Display, Chi Mei Optoelectronics and TPO Displays Corp, which was completed on March 18 this year. The move has propelled CMI to become the largest liquid crystal display maker in Taiwan and third in the world. Its products range from television panels, to desktop monitors, notebook computer panels, mobile phone screens and global navigation screens.
