Third generation mobile is finally gaining traction in China, bringing with it new opportunities for mobile handset makers and chip developers.
The big recent development in China's vast mobile phone handset market is the smartphone, which offers more advanced computing capabilities than an ordinary mobile phone. Third generation (3G) has spurred the smartphone's adoption throughout the country, helping to drive up average sales prices and average revenue per mobile phone user.
