Nokia - Staying ahead of the knock-offs

The mobile handset giant is working hard to defend against competition from bandit handsets in China's lower tier and rural regions.

Background:Nokia Corporation (NOK:NYSE) dominates China's handset market with 33.6% market share, according to BDA China, a consultancy. By the end of Q2, Nokia was employing 15% of the company's workforce in China, or 19,183 people, up 31% year on year, representing the fastest growth in personnel for the company globally.
