Talk of renminbi revaluation and its future upward crawl has been overshadowed recently by the unfolding drama in Europe. But it will surely resume, and sooner rather than later. The market consensus points to a resumption of the crawling peg to the US dollar in the second half of this year, with an annual rate of appreciation of 3-5%.
