The Shanghai market remains in the doldrums, but for how long?
Yu Dingheng, a fund manager at Yihu Investment, believes the market hasn't bottomed out yet. Industry inventory is piling up and overseas demand may narrow on Europe's debt crisis – forcing companies to drop prices, hurting margins. Unless Beijing loosens the screw on tightening measures in property and lending, there is little to feel upbeat about, he warned.
