Snowstorms, surging food inflation, investor commentaries on the emergence of a big "China bubble". On the positive side, though, China’s trade performance has markedly improved.
True to its auguries, 2010 has got off to a difficult start. Snowstorms, surging food inflation, investor commentaries on the emergence of a big "China bubble", an earlier-than-expected monetary tightening by the central bank and a US-China rift over Google's defiance of the Beijing government…all of this has happened in a rush. On the positive side, though, China’s trade performance has markedly improved. Let's take the main issues here one by one.
