Is growth set to slow next year?
- Published 10 Dec 2009
What are China's economists expecting in terms of 2010 economic growth?
Lu Lei, chief economist of Huatai United Securities, said he expects China's growth rate to peak in Q1 next year given the slow growth in the comparative period of 2009, and then slow down later into 2010. Exports are only likely to grow around 10% next year on slow recovery in developed nations, while investment growth is expected to fall to around 15% for the whole of 2010, down from 30% currently, he added.
