To invest or not to invest in the 14 banks listed on China's A-share market?
The 14 banks listed on Shanghai's A-share market account for more than 40% of total net profits made by the market's listed companies. Their average price to earnings (PE) ratio also remains around 14, lower than all other industries and below the historical average for the sector of 18.5, yet domestic analysts remain cautious.
