China Confidential travelled to all manner of locations spread across China this month to unravel the drivers of growth away from the country's major cities.
There is nothing quite so rewarding in our line of work as pounding the pavement in county towns, staying in two or three-star hotels and accumulating impressions from conversations with farmers, traders, entrepreneurs, officials and workers. China Confidential has done just this over the past month, travelling to all manner of locations spread across this vast country. Inevitably, some moments stand out in the memory for the nuggets they seem to reveal.
