Pigeon: Air under the wings from China

Last year, China made up 16% of the Japanese baby product maker's revenues.
Background:Japan's Pigeon Corporation (7956:TYO) specialises in the manufacture and sale of care products for babies, children and women. It also provides nursing care and child-rearing support services. China accounts for almost half of the group's overseas revenues, or 16% of total revenues through its sales network of 958 outlets across the country. Pigeon has also collaborated with China's Ministry of Health to provide breastfeeding advice in 34 major hospitals. South Asia and the US, as well as the Middle East and parts of Europe, make up the remainder of Pigeon's overseas sales.
