Economic trials are causing stress among China’s leaders and intensifying rivalries, but it is too early to identify debilitating rifts in policymaking.
The correction might have been an innocent one, but the chances of that seem remote. On March 1, Xinhua, China's official news agency, revised the words of a speech given by Xi Jinping, a full politburo member and the man currently positioned to take over from Hu Jintao as Communist Party leader.
